We're back! Join us for the 2024 Canine Library at John Hendry Trout Lake Park!Come to the park and sign up to borrow a dog from the Canine Library in this Poetry in Parks initiative. The Canine Library takes place behind the Trout Lake Community Centre on the east side and along the path - look for the reading nooks.
Check the dogs out using their bark-code and read your dog some poetry during your 10 minute session. Poetry books from the VPL's collection will be available for you to choose from. There will also be a poetry workshop with Vancouver Public Library's soon to be announced 2024 Writer in Residence during the event. Sign up for your free library card as well so you can access e-books, the Inspiration Lab, computer and printing access + more!
*You can register for free at the Canine Library in person ONLY at the park! Registration opens at 12:30pm, so the event can begin promptly at 1pm. Spots fill up quickly so be sure to arrive on time! Please note kids 14 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cross & Crows Books will be on site with all of your favourite books!
This event will take place rain or shine because it is Vancouver after all.
The pup lineup will be announced as soon as they calm down from all of the excitement.
