The Bumdog School of Film, will teach you how to make a MOVIE, not a screenplay. In the realm of pure filmmaking, screenplays are jokes. And if you are a screenwriter, its essential you have a good sense of humor about life.
A screenplay is the last, almost insignificant part of filmmaking. And I say this as someone who is a natural born writer, who only learned this brutal truth late in life when I started making films myself.
Its a truth, that as a writer can be crushing, but as a filmmaker can be liberating.
