BRISBANE TEENAGE FANCLUB Celebrates for 4zzzfm 50th Birthday Celebrations
After two epic packed showcases featuring the best new emerging young musicians and creatives from Brisbane and it’s surrounds, The Brisbane Teenage Fanclub is coming together to celebrate the
very special 50 th Birthday for 4zzzfm on October 2 at the Cave Inn.
The Brisbane Teenage Fanclub is the new project from SugarRush Music’s Deb Suckling and Craig Spann who previously together have run mentoring programs including the acclaimed Big Sky Girls program since 2017.
With support and collaboration with the Cave Inn and funding from Creative Australia - BTFC #3 will be hosted by loved 4zzzfm presenter Branko Cosic – a centrepiece of Brisbane music through his own music and festivals and has supported emerging original music on radio, online and in person.
In addition to live performances – BTFC # 3 features a block printing party where punters can print their very own 4zzzfm 50th Birthday celebration t-shirt with special designs carved exclusively for the event by Ilona Harker. BYO T Shirt for Block Printing is free, otherwise T Shirts are provided for $12.
Brisbane Teenage Fanclub #3 features performances from:
VideoCouch – Based in Brisbane, this alt rock fusion band formed in 2020 at Mansfield High School.
Blending a bit of punk, jazz, and pure mayhem, their music has that legendary fusion sound that Brisbane in known for.
Luka Evangaline – From Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast, Luka is a year 11 student and singer songwriter who takes her inspiration from a blend of folk, country and blues artists.
The SumFinks - Straight out of Hillbrook College this group of 15 year old students are inspired by grunge, rock and punk music. Recently featured in the Courier Mails best 30 young acts and winning Battle of the band comps – these guys are certainly making their raw powerful energetic live show known.
Pointe – Angular, epic, thought provoking and inspired by acts such as Sonic Youth, Fugazi and other noise post punk artists – Pointe bring stunning ethereal vocals alongside crashing soundscapes to create a sound that is all of their own.
