The Brisbane Gothic and Alternative Picnic 2023

Greetings Darklings,

Time to release the bats! For another spectacular event!

Have you started to plan your outfits yet?

It's that time to start planning for the next official Brisbane Gothic and Alternative picnic 2023!

The picnics are open to the alternative communities and those who are curious.

The picnics are family orientated - drug free and trouble free! We are also registered with the police!

Date: 17th June 2023 (it's a Saturday)

Time: 12:30 pm till 5:30 pm

Location: to be announced: the exact location. while we wait our request.

Brisbane City, Australia.

You will be required to register at the picnic. A wrist band will be given out.

Suggested attire:

♡Edwardian

♡Georgian/Rococo/Baroque

♡Victorian/Neo-Victorian

♡Steampunk/Dreadpunk/Seapunk/♡Dieselpunk/Punk

♡Lolita

♡Cyber

♡Rockabilly

♡Faery/Pastel etc...

Come as your own self, be expressive and don't judge others!

**Please not no weapons, nerf guns or fake/larp weapons allowed, no tactical gear/camos...this is as per police and parklands guidelines for public events.

there's a time and place for those but not at the picnic**

What to bring:

♡BYO food/drinks/cups/plates/napkins.

♡Some thing to sit on - Picnic rug/Chair/Cushions.

♡Parasol

♡Camera

♡No glass bottles or glasses permitted. Plastic is okay.

General ground keeping rules:

*No smoking in the parklands especially at the picnic - there is a smoking area for this by the road.

*Clean up after yourself

*No glass

*No climbing in gardens or damaging gardens...

*Be respectful towards each other

We have our official photographers for the day but we also encourage you to bring your own camera to help capture the days moments. Please be respectful towards others and ask to take photos.

*All picnics are registered with the Queensland police.

**As Covid is still a thing we need to do things a little differently this year so here’s the go on how we are going to be covid safe.

1) If you are unwell or have covid stay home.

2) We must keep a register for attendance, so make sure you sign in snd get a wrist band.

3) Sadly we cannot share food/drinks this time. Please bring lunch for yourself and/or your “bubble” only.

4) Maintain social distancing 1.5 metres , there's plenty of space.

6) Masks are encouraged...optional for those who want to wear them.

7)No weapons! includes nerf guns, larp weapons or other weapons. This is not the time or place for them.

Please be aware that the picnic may be cancelled at a moments notice should restrictions be added. Our first priority is the health and safety of our community.
