Named a “jazz prodigy” by The Fader in 2017 and listed among Ebony’s “top five jazz artists to watch” in 2018, Cook has performed and toured with luminaries like Christian Scott, Christian McBride, Marquis Hill, Jon Batiste, Mac Miller, Rihanna, and Solange. His latest album, Not Everyone Can Go—due August 29, 2025 via Nettwerk—is a reflective, genre-blurring meditation on love, fatherhood, and the transitions that shape us. With a reputation for emotional intimacy and technical mastery, Cook continues to expand jazz’s boundaries while bringing soulful storytelling to the forefront of contemporary Black American music.
