The Red Dirt Rangers have been carrying the banner for Red Dirt music since before the bands founding in 1988 at a two-story, five- bedroom, funky old place called the Farm. Ben Han, John Cooper, and Brad Piccolo became an integral part of the Farm’s musical brotherhood, trading songs and licks with the likes of Jimmy LaFave, Tom Skinner, Bob Childers and Randy Crouch.
As Rangers mandolinist-vocalist Cooper has noted, “The Farm was as much an attitude as a physical structure. It allowed a setting where freedom rang and all things were possible. Out of this setting came the music.”
The Brave Amigos truly enjoys performing Classic Rock, Spanish / Latin, instrumentals, originals, country, standards, classical or your favorite requests - Instrumental and/or Vocal. This virtuoso trio consists of Oklahoma guitar maestro Edgar Cruz (celebrating 30 years of recording with 19 CDs and 2 DVDs), the multi talented guitarist/vocalist Marco Tello (Turning 60 and celebrating tonight!) and the young prodigy Blake Bricker (age 15) who is versatile on all guitars and bass (as well as drums and piano). When one of the guys is booked, any two of the members are just as strong as a duo (even Solo!)
