THE BRACKISH
https://www.thebrackish.co.uk/
The Brackish sound is characterised by its use of dynamics, long-form composition and improvisation. Face melting heavyness gives way to gentle, spacious soundscapes within a single composition. Kraut-like grooves, polyrhythms, violent melodic statements and psychedelic, freeform improvisation are present in equal measure. Always expressed with a strong emphasis on melody and narrative, aiming to take the listener on journeys of much needed escapism.
'A musical hall of mirrors built with warped genius.' 9/ 10 ( Guitarist mag album review)
'Bringing to mind the instrumental areas of “Tweez” era Slint in their guitar tonalities, they also tap the eternal build and release genius of Dave Pajo’s iconic group Ariel M. But they also go into some heavily unpredictable territory with breathtaking verve, guts and temerity. Going from deep harmonic abstraction, to driving, algebraic, Beefheartian romps to joyous, triumphant crescendos.' ( On Heavy Rotation' )

Fantastic Stranger
Psychedelic Post-Rock with Jazz aesthetic & attitude.
This explosive trio crafts a unique sonic experience defined by emotive and authentic performances; executed by Drummer, Ollie Grant, Saxophonist, Dave Colebourn and Bassist, Reuben Reed Sanderson.
Enigmatic yet cohesive, the music draws listeners in with deep, meditative tones, yanks and claws with glitchy rhythms or raspy sax growls whilst bullishly marching towards some sort of apex. Audiences have laughed, cried, danced and chanted; act accordingly.
Fantastic Stranger return to the Bristol music scene, looking to revisit the stalwart venues in which they cut their teeth.
