The Boy Who Raised the Man
About this Event
How did your childhood shape the man you are today?
The things we carry as men, how we love, how we protect ourselves, how we see our own worth - so much of it started long before we had language for it. In childhood. In the things that were said and the things that weren't. In what we watched, what we absorbed, and what we learned to hide.
Some of us had childhoods that built us up. Some of us had childhoods that left gaps we've spent years trying to fill.
Most of us had both.
The Boy Who Raised the Man is a space to look at all of that honestly, together.
This is not a lecture. It's not a panel. It's a facilitated conversation, held and real, where men of different ages and backgrounds sit together and explore how the boy shaped the man and what that means for who we are today and who we still want to become.
Whether you're 16 and still becoming, or 50 and finally ready to look back, there is a place for you in this room. Some of the most powerful conversations happen when different generations realise they've been carrying the same things.
The evening is co-facilitated by Omar Junior, Founder of The Study of Men, alongside a qualified psychotherapist.
