Join us for THE BOOKOUT: Family Storytime and Craft Activities on Saturday, July 18th!
This interactive storytime is specially designed for children ages 0–8, but all ages are welcome to join in the fun. We'll spend the morning reading picture books written by local authors, followed by an art activity facilitated by That Art Party that the entire family will enjoy.
We'll open the space at 9:30 AM—come early to grab a seat before we dive into some engaging stories about world-making and outer space. Stories will start 10:00 am sharp. Expect lively read-alouds, art activities, and a space for young readers and their families to connect and explore the joy of storytelling.
That Art Party (TAP) is a creative wellness community by and for BIPOC adults, based in Oakland and the Bay Area. They create space for rest, joy, and connection through craft based events, from cozy meetups to large scale activations, all rooted in the belief that making things with our hands is a form of liberation. Through workshops, pop ups, and community gatherings, TAP invites people to slow down, get a little messy, and celebrate creativity together.
This week's storytime will take place at Prescott Market. Come for storytime with Storyland and stay for the amazing Dog Market and Live Music event Prescott Market is hosting!
