About this Event

The Bomb Shelter promises a one-of-a-kind comedy experience, as America's top touring comedians spin yarns, fine tune new material, and revisit their favorite jokes over the years in a small, dimly lit intimate setting with incredible cocktails and food, every 2nd Wednesday at 9pm at The Silver Lining. Each show is opened by 2 local or regional acts with incredible talent.
For our second show ever, we're bringing in LA by way of the Bay product Kalea McNeill (Comedy Central, Netflix Is a Joke, Prime, the CW, and more). Joining her are some of her best friends, Niles Abston (Don’t Tell Comedy, Hulu’s “Dave”) and Ashley Monique (Punch Line San Francisco).
Hosted by Ben Rice.
The Bomb Shelter is a Barley & Me Pod-uction, in conjunction with The Silver Lining. Learn more at barleyandmepod.com, 916silverlining.com, or on IG @barleyandmepod or @916silverlining

About the performers:
Kalea McNeill is an actor/standup comedian from the bay area. She gained a love for performance at an early age through various plays, oratorical competitions, and community events. She graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Theatre Arts and made the move to Los Angeles to pursue her career.
She is most known for her recurring character "Hanifa Downey" on CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend (season 4), and various television guest spots. In 2022 Kalea was selected for the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal as a "New Face of Comedy". She has recently taped with Comedy Central and will be returning to the Netflix is a Joke Festival this summer in Los Angeles. Her debut (Grammy Considered) comedy special "Sma'am" is now available on Amazon Prime Video, and can also be heard as an album wherever you stream.
Niles Abston has graced stages across the country, delivering laughter-packed performances. With appearances on notable platforms like Comedy Central and NBC, Niles infuses his stand-up sets with a brilliant blend of wit and relatable storytelling. His engaging charisma and quick-witted humor have captivated audiences, making Niles a rising star in the comedy scene.
Ashley Monique is a rising star in the Northern California comedy scene, having recently released her debut mini-special “La Bruja” via Tiny Pony on YouTube. She is also a regular at all Punch Line venues. While larger comedy success is on the horizon, Ashley still begs that you please not tell her mom she does stand-up.
