About This Workshop
Have you ever felt like your body is fighting against itself?
For many living with autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, or persistent somatic symptoms, the daily experience can feel like a battleground. Modern medicine often treats the body as a collection of isolated parts, frequently overlooking a profound truth: our nervous system, our emotional history, and our immune system speak the exact same language.
When stress becomes chronic or trauma remains unprocessed, our nervous system stays stuck in survival mode. Over time, this constant state of high alert can manifest physically, altering our immune response and leading to inflammation, burnout, and autoimmune flare-ups.
This 4-hour, trauma-informed somatic workshop is designed to bridge the gap between mind and body. It is an invitation to stop fighting your symptoms and start understanding them. Together, we will explore the neurobiology of stress, dive into the somatic roots of autoimmunity, and learn gentle, body-based tools to foster true physiological safety.
What We Will Explore Together
This workshop is not a lecture; it is a structured, gentle, and interactive experiential journey. We will balance accessible neuroscience with somatic practice, ensuring your nervous system feels safe and regulated throughout.
- The Neurobiology of Autoimmunity: Discover how chronic stress, childhood adversity, and trauma alter the immune system and the vagus nerve.
- The Language of Somatics: Learn how to decode the physical messages your body is sending through symptoms, pain, and fatigue.
- Emotions as Biological Data: Explore the link between suppressed emotions (especially anger and boundary violations) and physiological inflammation.
- Somatic Regulation Tools: Practice safe, accessible body-based exercises designed to shift your system out of a chronic fight/flight/freeze state and into a state of rest and repair.
- Rebuilding Body Trust: Begin the gentle process of befriending a body that has felt unsafe, unpredictable, or traitorous.
How the Day is Structured
Because this work touches on deep emotional and physiological themes, your emotional and nervous system safety is our absolute priority. * Part 1: Grounding & The Science of Connection – Setting a safe container, gentle regulation, and the psychoeducation of mind-body illness.
- Part 2: Somatic Mapping – An interactive exploration of how stress lives in your unique body.
- Part 3: Nervous System Reset – Gentle experiential exercises, breathwork, and somatic tracking (completely choice-based—no forced vulnerability).
- Part 4: Integration & Moving Forward – How to build a sustainable, everyday practice of somatic self-care without overwhelming your system.
