Missouri City goes to The Ensemble Theatre
The Edison Arts Foundation is partnering once again with the city of Missouri City, H-E-B, and The Ensemble Theatre as we celebrate 100 years of Black History Commemorations. In support of Houston's historic theatre, The Ensemble Theatre, we are offering our community discounted tickets to see classic stories and thought-provoking narratives shaped around Black History and Black Present. Join us Sunday, February 15, 2026 for Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye adapted for a play by Lydia R. Diamond, and directed by Eileen J. Morris.

About The Bluest Eye
Pecola Breedlove, a young Black girl in 1941 Lorain, Ohio, wants nothing more than to be loved and prays for Shirley Temple’s blue eyes. Enthralling, gorgeously written, and incredibly heartrending, this stunning adaptation of Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winner Toni Morrison’s debut novel centers three young Black girls as they strive to make sense of abuse and hate.

Additional paid parking is available nearby at the Mid-Main Garage (3550 Main St), and METRORail's Red Line stops at the door (HCC/Ensemble stop). On-street, metered parking is also available in the surrounding area.
