In 2023, inspired by the release of the Get Back documentary, the Blue Apples got together to play some Beatles tunes. They were a highlight of Beatlesfest in Lithgow, playing the Beatles’ Abbey Road rooftop set on a pub roof until police inevitably brought an end to proceedings. They promise to bring that rooftop spirit to playing all your favourite 1968-1970 late-period Beatles tunes at GasPo on July 26. The Blue Apples play tunes from the period when Beatlemania had bitten the dust and the Summer of Love had worn off - when the Beatles were just a great rock band with great tunes (think ‘Let It Be’, ‘Here Comes The Sun’, ‘Hey Jude’ - the music on the Blue album and their Apple label). Featuring Bryan Estepa and members of Smooth Sailing, Delta Green, and Suzy and the Snakepit, the Blue Apples will get back and come together at GasPo to play some of the most acclaimed music in the history of rock.”
