Announcing The Bliss Effect: an ensemble musical comedy by the MJCA Fine Arts Drama Department featuring live music from the Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta!Inspired dreamer, Bliss, couldn’t be more thrilled to work at Wholesome Horizons, a company whose sole purpose is to create products that make the world a better place. Her co-worker, Mortimer, is simply grateful to have a job. When the boss informs the office that the company is going under, the staff are tasked with devising one final, world-saving product. Brainstorming begins and Bliss strikes brilliance. A Happiness Serum! In a dual attempt to save the company and get Mort out of his constant state of sadness, the office agrees to a Bottle of Bliss. Despite objections from Mort, the officemates become guinea pigs, who soon learn that “happy” may not solve everything.
