The Bleeding Hearts with Third of Never and Erie ChoirThe Bleeding Hearts
Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2023, Raleigh’s preeminent power punk band is now older, but somewhat wiser. The Bleeding Hearts started out in 2003 as a raucous crew of young upstarts, making a mark with their own brand of rock’n’roll glam punk. Over the years, they have released three critically acclaimed albums and toured extensively on the East coast. The band, led by singer/guitarist Sam Madison has gone through several lineup changes, with 2022 finding them with three new members, Larry Burlison (lead guitar), Paul Walz (bass) and Chapel Hill’s Scott Jones on drums. The new lineup has sparked continued interest in the band and inspiration within the group, heading into the studio for their fourth album to be released in early 2026.
Third of Never
New Jersey indie rock via North Carolina. Featuring Jon Dawson and The Connells' Doug MacMillan. Celebrating the release of their new album Damage The Pearl!
Erie Choir
Born of navel-gazing self-indulgence and vague ambition, Erie Choir began at the dawn of the new millennium as the solo acoustic folk singing sort-of-thing of Sorry About Dresden’s Eric Roehrig. Over the years, the North Carolina based group's sound, a mix up of indie rock, indie pop, folk, americana, power pop, extended chooglin’, the occasional motorik rave up, and sometimes straight up rock n’ roll, has continued to evolve. While the band’s output over its two decades’ existence would never be called prolific, Erie Choir has persisted, the long standing lineup of Roehrig, fellow Sorry About Dresden alumnus James Hepler, Bob Wall, and Jack Watson, now joined by Ben Spiker, poised to release their third full length, Golden Reviser, in fall 2025.
