Join us as historian Greg Finch explores the rise, crisis and redemption of Newcastle's Blackett Family.William Blackett’s rapid ascent from modest origins to trading and mining wealth on Tyneside shines a light on the crucial role Newcastle played in the nation and northern Europe in the 1600s. Several generations of his family are buried in the Cathedral.
Greg's talk will draw on the research he carried out to piece together the compelling story.
