About this Event
contributes music by Ignatius Sancho and Joseph Bologne to Black History Month, along with incidental suites by Paisible [Oroonoko] and Henry Purcell [The Indian Queen] and songs by Purcell/Courteville [Oroonoko].
The first two composers were Black men of letters as well as composers; the other three were composers writing for works set beyond Europe.

Booking in advance is cheaper [£14; £8] and advisable as the venue is small; you can book tickets HERE. Admission is still possible on the door [£16]. The musicians will introduce themselves, the music and their instruments, so no prior knowledge of the programme is necesary.
