The Black Peabody Museum Exhibit Launch

We are pleased to share with you an exciting development at Peabody College: the launch of the Black Peabody Museum (BPM), a new cultural and educational initiative that celebrates and explores the rich history and contributions of the Black community within our institution and beyond.

This project, inspired by notable alumna MaKenzie Mosby and the Peabody Coalition of Black Graduates (PCBG), aims to address themes of belonging and visibility within the Peabody College community. Funded by the Sesquicentennial Grant and spearheaded by PCBG, the BPM will offer an immersive experience that traces the evolution of Vanderbilt’s Peabody campus from its origins in 1866 to the present day.

Together with the many people that have made this project possible, help us launch the exhibit that will run from Friday, November 8th - Friday, November 15th in the Peabody Library Ground Level.
