About this Event
The Black Muse Exhibition: Dear Black Mental Health is an art experience that honors the depth, resilience, and healing of the Black mind. Through art, storytelling, and community dialogue, this exhibition opens space for reflection on what it means to care for ourselves and one another within a culture that often demands our strength but rarely tends to our wounds.
Each piece on display serves as both a love letter and a mirror, inviting us to confront the layers of our mental health journeys while celebrating the beauty, vulnerability, and creativity that define Black existence.
Join us for an evening of artistic expression, open conversation, and collective healing. Together, we’ll explore the intersections of identity, emotion, and wellness in a space built on understanding, affirmation, and joy.
Why You Should Attend
- Experience original works by Detroit artists that speak to the realities and resilience of our mental health.
- Engage in meaningful dialogue around healing, community care, and emotional truth.
- Connect with others who believe in breaking stigmas and celebrating the fullness of Black life.
Come ready to feel, to see, and to be seen.
This is more than an art show; it’s a conversation, a community, and a call to care.
