An in person discussion for those of African/Caribbean descent to explore the Black British Identity and what it means?About this Event
Discussion Thursday is an organisation that has been running for 7 years in and around South London.
It’s primary function is to facilitate a space for people to be able to have mature conversations about topics which impact them. It is designed specifically with those from the African/Caribbean diaspora in Britain in mind.
This month’s discussion we will explore the following as it relates to black British identity
- Can I be proud of my heritage and proud to be British?
- Is there such a thing as ’acting white’?
- Are Black specific spaces and initiatives the answer?
