These comprehensive seminars are a great primer for hunters wanting to find more and better places to hunt doves, quail, and chukar on Southern California public lands. Seminar speaker Jim Matthews has published the detailed Western Birds newsletter since 1996, detailing over 800 locations on public lands on where to hunt upland birds and doves in this region. As an outdoor writer since the early 1970s, Matthews has hunted with and interviewed many of the best public land hunters in this area. All of that information and decades of experience is distilled down into the most important information for these two-hour seminars. The where-to-hunt information is simply unparalleled in its detail. He truly does provide Xs-marked-on-maps kind of detail.
