About this Event
We are thrilled to welcome naturalist, author and broadcaster Stephen Moss here to Hatchards this evening to discuss his most recent bird biography
The Starling
Even with its beautiful iridescent plumage and magical gift to mimic both human and natural sounds, this common garden bird can often be overlooked. But as they come together in their thousands to display their unique ability to perform dazzling aerial manoeuvres known as murmurations, starlings are nothing short of breathtaking.
This evening, our expert guide Stephen Moss tells the captivating story of how starlings have shaped our world, from influencing agriculture and inspiring musicians such as Mozart and writers such as Shakespeare.
Stephen will be in conversation with Ryan Dalton, wildlife podcaster (Into The Wild), award winning wildlife filmmaker (Beyond The Trigger) & conservation storyteller. Known for communicating conservation discussions & science with humour throughout, Ryan's passion for wildlife & community shines through his work whether it be on stage, in front of camera or in the recording studio."
We hope you can join us!
