The Big Voluntary Sector Premises Discussion

Access to suitable, affordable premises is one of the biggest challenges facing community, voluntary, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE - social purpose) organisations in Waltham Forest. Whether it’s rising costs, insecure tenancies, lack of availability, or buildings that no longer meet the needs of the communities they serve – the premises crisis is affecting organisations of all sizes across the borough.

Waltham Forest CVS is convening this special meeting to bring together social purpose organisations to discuss this vital issue and explore what can be done collectively.

This session will provide an open forum for VCFSE organisations to:

• Share your experiences and challenges around finding, securing and maintaining premises in the borough

• Hear about the current landscape and what opportunities may exist

• Discuss the barriers facing smaller organisations in particular, including faith groups and social enterprises

• Explore ideas for shared spaces, community asset approaches, and collaborative solutions

• Begin shaping a collective ask to present to local decision-makers

This meeting is for anyone involved in running or managing a VCFSE organisation in Waltham Forest – whether you’re a trustee, manager, volunteer coordinator, or community leader. If premises are an issue for your organisation (or could become one), this meeting is for you.
