What’s The Big Sing? It's the Maritime's greatest group singing lesson! Just picture a Nova Scotia kitchen party, with 250 friends, at a bar, learning one of the best pop tunes of our time, in perfected three-part harmony. We’re not joking. It’s awesome.

All SUMMER long, catch us the second Tuesday of the month at The Basement of the Shoe on Argyle Street. In the heart of Halifax, in the heart of the action – come sing your heart out with us. Our pro tip? Drop by early for a drink and a bite from our friends upstairs at The Economy Shoe Shop. Jack recommends the smash burger *chef's kiss*
No musical skills required. You show up, lyrics in one hand and a drink in the other, and we do the rest. We'll start by learning the melody, and we'll work towards a final video performance by the end of the night. Co-taught by Rachael Delano, Caitlin Bowers, and Jack Bennet. Natasha Bedingfield will not be with us but maybe when she's on PEI for SOMMO fest in September we can convince her to pop over to Halifax to sing with us?

The Big Sing is privileged in being able to make music in Mi’ma’ki, the unceded and ancestral land of the Mi’kmaq.
Singing is a physical activity. Most of the capacity is standing room only - there are tables with chairs available, come early if you're hoping to snag one.
The Basement is only accessible by staircase.
