OG Big Mike is coming home.

This Bayou Classic Weekend, Culture Connects Live invites New Orleans, longtime supporters, artists, media, and a new generation of hip-hop lovers to honor the life, music, journey, and legacy of OG Big Mike — The PeterMan.

Born in New Orleans and raised in Houston, Big Mike helped shape Southern hip-hop through his work with the Convicts alongside Mr. 3-2, his chapter with the Geto Boys, and a lasting solo career. His story connects New Orleans, Houston, Rap-A-Lot history, and a generation of music that helped define the South.

This is a chance to celebrate that legacy while the man himself is here to receive the love.

The Story. The Q&A. The Homecoming.

Earlier in the day, fans and media will have an opportunity to attend an exclusive Q&A with OG Big Mike.

This intimate conversation will give Big Mike space to share personal stories, reflect on the people, places, music, and experiences that shaped his journey, and tell his side of the story in his own words.

Later that evening, the legendary Dew Drop Inn becomes the setting for The Big Mike Homecoming Experience—a one-night celebration of Southern hip-hop culture, legacy, and community.
