Join us for a fun, practical workshop transforming Christmas leftovers into a nourishing festive bake, with plenty of tips for wasting less!
About this Event

Join us for a fun, educational and practical festive cooking workshop at Allens Cross, running from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday 9th December. The class will be led by Martha, an experienced cook who has been delivering hands-on workshops with Loaf in Stirchley for many years.

Together, we’ll collaboratively create a delicious Festive Leftovers Bake, using typical Christmas ingredients in a healthy, low-waste way. Martha will be sharing additional tips on how everyday leftovers can be transformed into something warm, comforting and budget-friendly.

You will also get a chance to check out ecobirmingham’s new One Planet Living toolkit to help you make your own sustainable action plan!

This session is suitable for all abilities — it’s relaxed, social, and designed to help you build confidence in the kitchen while reducing food waste.

Come along, get inspired, and learn how to turn leftovers into something truly delicious!

How to Register:

Please note that a place on our course costs us £45 per person – but we would like this session to be accessible for everyone. Please reserve a space on a pay-what-you-can basis via Eventbrite for as little as a £1 donation or register for FREE by emailing [email protected] or using the sign-up sheet at reception.

Limited spaces - please only reserve a space if you are confident you are able to attend, you will be notified if your place has been confirmed shortly after registering.

All contributions go directly to the Building Greener Communities project — an initiative focused on helping local residents live more sustainably through skills, community connection and practical climate-friendly activities.

Sessions will take place at the Allens Cross Association, 24 Tinkers Farm Rd, Birmingham B31 1RH inside the Florence Pickering Hall.

Limited onsite parking is available and the closest bus routes are the 61, 63, 18 and 27.
