The Big Lap 2026: 14 days. 15,000 kilometres. One mission.August 2026. We're driving around Australia.
Not for the views (though they'll be pretty good). Not for the adventure (though it'll be unforgettable).
We're doing it for the 30,000 Australians under 65 living with young onset dementia. The ones who are rarely talked about. The families navigating a diagnosis that changes everything, often without the specialist support they desperately need.
Here's the plan:
A 14-day convoy around Highway 1. Starting in Perth. Hitting iconic cities and remote landscapes. Around 20 vehicles. A community on wheels, making young onset dementia impossible to ignore.
This isn't a charity drive where you write a cheque and forget about it. This is you, in your car, being part of something that actually changes the conversation.
We're finalising the route, the stops, the details. Registration opens soon at www.tdfwa.org.au.
