The big green neighbourhood map

A drop-in, creative workshop with artist and community activist Anna Haydock-Wilson, exploring how to improve the sustainability of our neighbourhood for both people and nature.

Members of our local community are invited to share ideas and priorities for creating a greener, fairer future. You will contribute towards a giant map of the area, using creative techniques and approaches to making art, from drawing and printmaking, to collage and sculpture.

This family-friendly workshop is open to residents, workers and visitors to Spike Island, Hotwells, Harbourside and Cliftonwood. You can drop-in any time during the session and stay for as long as you wish.

The Community Climate Action Project is coordinated by and kindly supported by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.

Anna Haydock-Wilson connects people through participatory activities, encouraging discussion and action around shifting societal status quos. Collaborative initiatives across London and the South West include, , , , and .

Haydock-Wilson studied Fine Art and independent filmmaking in London. Recent exhibitions include, Inhabited Spaces (2019), Centre of Gravity (2020), Make Gallery Exeter (2021) and (2023) – an engagement commission at Spike Island.

Haydock-Wilson is Community Engagement Lead for the Hotwells & Cliftonwood Community Association, and is currently overseeing the Community Nature and Climate Action project.
