The "Big Pop Up" is coming...On July 29th, up to 2,000 local families will get free supply of household goods, personal items, and food supplies, among other products in car trunks, and on truck beds. This is open to the public on a first come, first served basis at no cost.
This is going to be a contactless drive-through event and you will be required to safely remain in your vehicles as you drive through various stations to collect the supplies.
Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The goal of the event is to bring relief to the persistent stress and strain on families (and anyone in need of assistance) to help them overcome the worst economic and public health crisis. During the event, COVID-19 testing and vaccination will be available. Appointments are not required.
The Big Pop Up, is sponsored by the North Carolina Community Action Association, Food Lion, Duke Energy, The Park Church, Good360, Ballantyne Insurance Group, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, The Diaper Bank of North Carolina, and hosted by Charlotte Area Fund, Inc.,
