The Beulaville Baptist Book Club Presents: A Bur-Less-Q Nutcracker

A ballet disaster. A stranded burlesque troupe. A holiday fundraiser gone hilariously off-script. Celebrate its 18th season!
About this Event

THE SHOW MUST GO ON. BLESS THEIR HEARTS.

The women of the Beulaville Baptist Book Club have a financial crisis and a perfectly respectable plan: save the day with a fundraiser performance of The Nutcracker.

Then Madge’s Piña Colada Casserole takes out the entire ballet company.

Enter the Velvet Kittens, a stranded burlesque troupe with a broken-down van and a willingness to help. Madge has never heard of burlesque. She calls it “bur-less-q.” What could possibly go wrong?

The Beulaville Baptist Book Club Presents: A Bur-Less-Q Nutcracker celebrates its 18th season with small-town shenanigans, cheeky dancing, outrageous characters, and a holiday classic that takes a very unexpected turn.

Expect a scripted theatrical comedy with adult humor, suggestive fun, and playful dancing. There is no nudity or stripping.

Bring your friends, make it a date night, or start a holiday tradition that would have the book club clutching its pearls.
