Wednesday Night Singer Songwriter is the Original, Best, and Most Diverse . . . seriously who writes this stuff? Here's the deal, there are a bunch of places to go and see some really great performers and Songwriters. We don't mind who or where, all we ask is that you support local music scenes. Open Mics are the lifeblood of local scenes. These are where you get to see seasoned performers and people just starting out for one simple reason, they love playing music. So come on out. Boyd's Jig and Reel has a passion for locally created music, there is great food and a supportive crowd. Come out and see why Jig and Reel attracts some of the biggest names in Americana, Bluegrass, Honky Tonk, Singer Songwriter, and World Music.
Yes, there are chances to win stuff. Yes, there are opportunities to get bookings for weekend gigs. Yes, there is a network of skilled musicians to collaborate with. While everyone else is claiming they are the best all we are doing is stating the obvious - Knoxville has great music! Every Wednesday starting at 7pm. Sign ups start at 6. If you want a guaranteed early spot arrival before 7 is recommended, but everyone has a chance to play, even if that means we need to go late.
