Come close out the end of summer and celebrate the finale of my Think & Drink Trivia residency at Pour Brothers with The Best Damn Trivia Tournament Ever!
*Why? As a fellow trivia fanatic, I've hosted Think & Drink Trivia all over the Central Illinois area for 12+ years (if you're here, you've probably played my game before). And it's always made me wonder: Who really is the smartest team in town?
Well my friends, it's time to put your money where your mouth is and decide once and for-all who the Best Damn Trivia Team really is!
*What: I am partnering with Pour Brothers Peoria Heights and SlowHand Craft BBQ to host a trivia tournament of the ages. And to make things more interesting, and because I appreciate all the support over the years, we are offering up a $1,000 in cash prize ($1,000 will be the top prize. If we get 20 teams, there will be additional 2nd place prize. If we get 24 teams, a 3rd place prize will be added. 30 teams - 4th place). There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a few raffle items. All proceeds from the event will go to Team Carol at Easter Seals! Think about it, you can get paid just to answer questions, while enjoying some great food & drinks and supporting a local charity. It's a no-brainer!
*Who: All trivia lovers are invited to play! Simply sign up by emailing [email protected]. I will follow up with you within a week to get your tentative team name, team captain for check-in and number of players. Tables are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. They are filling fast so sign up today and come help raise money for a great cause while celebrate my illustrious trivia run!
When: Sunday, August 24, from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Here's a tentative outline of events:
-12:00pm. Optional Pre-Game cocktail hour and music by request. Early-bird team check-in and packet pick-up.
-1:00pm. Food will be provided by SlowHand. Official check-in begins. Teams can pick up packets, writing utensils and buy game stickers (optional Mulligans and double-up stickers)
1:45. Last call for check-in/payment.
2:00pm. Trivia rules and introduction. Title belt is delivered.
2:15pm. Trivia game begins. Rounds 1-4.
3:00pm. Halftime Intermission, Standings, 50/50 update
3:15pm. Trivia game resumes. Rounds 4-8.
4:00pm. Second Half Intermission. 50/50 closes. Raffle items close. Winners announced.
4:15pm. Elimination Rounds. There is a $50 buy-back in for teams who are eliminated. Rules to be posted later.
4:45pm. The Final Question
5:00pm. Title belt presentation, $$$$, pictures, farewell.

How Much: $160/table. Payment options will be Cash, Check, Venmo or PayPal. I will reach out with payment instructions the week of the event. Food will be included and provided by SlowHand. Drinks will separate and we will have a specialty drink to commemorate the occasion!
Also: If you don't want to play but still want to donate, please let me know! A $20 donation will get you food, and you can still hang out with us!
