The Belle Sounds with Future Clouds and Radar
About this Event
Doors 6pm
Show 6:30pm
Future Clouds & Radar emerged from Austin in the late 2000s as Robert Harrison’s post-Cotton Mather vehicle for kaleidoscopic pop, melodic invention, and adventurous production. Following the underground success of Cotton Mather’s Kontiki—praised by The Guardian as “the best record the Beatles never made”—Harrison pushed into more expansive territory with FC&R, earning the band a devoted following and a reputation as one of Austin’s most distinctive cult acts.
Now, following a decade-long pause, Future Clouds & Radar returns with Big Weather, a new album of vivid, richly layered songs that reconnects Harrison’s gift for indelible melody with the creative ambition and sonic adventurousness that have always defined the band. Joining Harrison are longtime collaborators Darin Murphy, Jon Sanchez, and Mike St. Clair, along with multi-instrumentalist Chris Gebhard and acclaimed Austin artist Betty Soo.
“Harrison steps confidently into a new chapter... with restless imagination, literate songwriting, and production that feels alive in every measure.” — Foxfire
THE BELLE SOUNDS
Austin's synth-pop quintet, The Belle Sounds, have been called "one of the best pop bands in Austin"(Austin American Statesman), "best new band" (Austin Chronicle) and have their own day named after them in their hometown of Austin, TX.
Drawn to the sounds and influences of the 80s, they make music that calls back to artists like Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel and more while holding on to love of the sounds of 70/80s Fleetwood Mac.
They will be celebrating the release of their new single, “The Entertainer.”
