The Beat on Market Street is the hottest block party in East Central Illinois. "Family Reunion" aims to bring feelings of classic family cookouts and neighborhood gatherings where everybody comes together across generations. Line dances, old school music, Double Dutch, card games, etc.

Soft Spoken formed in 1996 and continues to be a top Contemporary Jazz band in Central Illinois. Gary Muhammad on Lead Guitar/Vocals, Mike Gardner on Keyboards, Myra Johnson on Percussion, AJ Chinnery on drums, Kenny Johnson on Bass Guitar and our dynamic Lead Vocalist Jamika.
Ray Glass is a dedicated minister, hip hop artist, mentor, entrepreneur, and community leader whose life and work are rooted in faith, purpose, and a passion for impacting the next generation. In 2003, Ray co-founded Hostyle Gospel Ministries, a Christian Hip Hop group based in Champaign, Illinois. DJ Sifu (David T. Boyd) been DJing since the 1980s and plays all genres of music. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and lived in Champaign during the 1990s then to Washington, DC and Brooklyn, NY. He returned to his native Chicago in 2018 and has recently moved back to Champaign. He is making his re-debut at Beat on Market Street this summer.
