Welcome to The Beacon Academy: Building Momentum 2026!
We're delighted to invite you to The Beacon Academy Conference 2026: Building Momentum, taking place on Saturday 26th September 2026 at the University of Dundee.
The Beacon Academy provides academic skills training, mentored internship support, and conferences, all with the aim of widening access to clinical research for students from under-represented backgrounds and building a more diverse academic community.
This year's conference brings together students and staff from universities across the UK to celebrate success in widening participation, share best practice, and explore opportunities to enhance support for under-represented groups in higher education. We will be showcasing the work of the Beacon Interns, who have worked throughout the year on their own research projects. The event is open to students of all year groups.
What to expect on the day:

- Opportunities to connect with peers and academics from across the UK
