The power and effect of incumbency on any seat in Congress has been well documented in history. It disappears when a seat is vacated. It has happened, on average, approximately 3% of the time over the last decade because of death, resignation, withdrawal, or House action. Our local districts have had two in recent years. Absent incumbency, the attributes that govern having an informed choice become platform, policy, views, ambition, and impact of the candidates during their campaign leading to the election in November.
The Tower Forum will present the candidates on the ballot for US Congressional District 23 on Oct 6th. Come meet and hear why they believe they are the best person to represent our district in Washington and help inform your decision come November.
