The Basics of Nature & Wildlife Photography

Ready to get your camera off Auto mode? This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of exposure, focus, composition, lenses, and camera settings while helping participants gain confidence using their DSLR or mirrorless camera in the field. Classroom instruction and practical exercises will provide a solid foundation for creating stronger nature and wildlife photographs. Please bring your camera, laptop, a device or card reader for downloading images to your laptop, your preferred image editing software, and a packed lunch.
About the Presenter
Donald Quintana is an award-winning nature and wildlife photographer, conservation visual storyteller, educator, and international photography tour leader with more than 35 years of experience. His photographs have appeared in National Audubon, Nature’s Best Photography, California Outdoors, Ranger Rick, and numerous other publications. He is passionate about helping photographers develop both their technical abilities and their artistic voice while fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
