The Basics of Biscuits and Cookies with Rise & Shine Baking (for kids)

Classic chocolate chip cookies, crunchy oat cookies and traditional, deliciously buttery shortbread are the stars of this baking class! Little bakers will learn two basic methods used in biscuit and cookie making, along with tips on how to get a perfectly textured and beautifully shaped biscuit every time.

This class is a collaboration between Sarum Hall Food Studio and Agnieszka Siedlecka from Rise & Shine Baking.

Timings

• 9.45am - arrival and welcome
• 10.00am - class starts
• 12.00pm - lunch (children should bring their own packed lunch)
• 14.00pm - finish and pick up

This class is suitable for children aged 7 - 12 years old.

About the teacher: Agnieszka Siedlecka from Rise & Shine Baking

Agnieszka has been cooking and baking since she was a little girl. Family life revolved around the kitchen and she has always been interested in how food was made. Agnieszka grew up in Communist Poland during the 1970's and 80's, and food choice was very limited.

Agnieszka credits her Mum for fostering her love of cooking and baking from a young age. Agnieszka believes her mother's understanding of how important it was to be involved with cooking is one of the most precious gifts she gave her. That gift paid off years later when Agnieszka moved to the UK. After 16 years of running her own playgroup in North West London where baking classes for young families were selling like hot cakes, she now runs baking for wellbeing groups in the local area, offers private sessions and has an online cookie shop.

Agnieszka's warm, nurturing, and fun personality always make for a lively and enjoyable class.
