Get ready for spelling fun at the Bananagrams Tournament Bananza! All are welcome to play, complete or watch at our free event. Happening at Atrium on Elliott Food Court, Elliott Street
Bananagrams is a fun, fast-paced Scrabble-like game where there’s no waiting around. You’re in a race against others to build a crossword till there’s no tiles left. Play a casual game or if you’re up for it… compete against other spellbound wordsmiths in the Tournament for prizes from our sponsors Fairtrade New Zealand and All Good Bananas.
You’ll also have a chance to see and play the new banana-themed Fairtrade New Zealand and All Good Bananas educational game.
While you’re in Midtown, check out the Midtown Market Day from 11 – 3pm. There’ll be free tastings, live music, market specials and spot prizes – fun for the whole whānau!

This event is also part of Play Month running through October and across the city. Enjoy a range of free events for all ages from toddlers to seniors that explore play.
