The arts can help tell the stories of why our environmental work is needed. Stories can galvanize action, help us celebrate successes and give us hope. This month we will hear from two of Go Green Park Ridge's Changemakers and how they are inspiring others through their love of books and performance respectively. Laura Scott, Adult Services Manager at the Park Ridge Library, will highlight some of the books discussed in the library's Green Reads Book Club over the years. Laura started this group and has also initiated other "green" efforts at the library. She will also introduce us to some of the cool things the library offers to all patrons to help us be better environmental stewards.
Nicole Scimeca, a 2025 Maine South graduate, will join us for a screening of her award-winning music video "Higher Ground". Nicole won the 2025 Stovall Prize for Creativity at the One Earth Film Festival Young Filmmaker's Contest which received 400 submissions from youth across the globe.
Please join us as we acknowledge these women's contributions! All are welcome at the Green Drinks programs. Bring a friend or make a new one!
