This isn't a classroom and it's not a rigid workshop. It's a real day out in the woodland with Sony Alpha kit in your hands, doing the thing that actually makes you better - shooting.
Set in Hainault Forest, a beautiful Woodland Trust site, the day is designed around how seasoned photographer Lee Cooper actually works in the field. We move, we observe, we respond to what's in front of us. Light changes, moments appear, and we'll be right there with you - talking through composition, lens choice, settings, and how to see a scene before you press the shutter. The Sony team will be on hand too, so if you've got questions about the kit, there's no better place to ask them.
You'll come away with a better eye, more confidence behind the camera, and a real understanding of how to get the most from Sony Alpha gear in a natural environment. Whether you're just starting out or you've been shooting for years, the guidance is tailored to where you are.
Throughout the experience, attendees can expect creative challenges, prizes, and community-led moments designed to inspire creativity and make the day even more rewarding.
Ahead of the event, attendees will receive a short pre-session questionnaire covering photography experience, creative interests, what they’re hoping to learn, and any Sony kit they may be interested in exploring on the day. These insights help both Lee and the Sony team tailor the experience to the group, creating a more personal, relevant, and hands-on session from the moment you arrive.
