The SMART Orchestra (San Marcos Artists’ Retention and Training Orchestra) is a nonprofit community orchestra dedicated to presenting high-quality, accessible symphonic performances in San Marcos and across Central Texas. 🎻We officially invite you to join us for “The Art of the Gala” — a festive evening celebrating local musicians, their training, and the performances that keep San Marcos’ music scene vibrant and growing. 🌟
General Admission includes:
🥂 A curated grazing table with light bites and hors d’oeuvres
🍹 Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages
🍰 A dessert table featuring sweet treats
The evening will feature a variety show of special musical performances, including:
• Excerpts from Sessions' performance of Peter and the Wolf 🐺🎼
• A return performance from our Fall Concert sopranos, Courtney and Betzy 🎤✨
• A special feature from SMART Orchestra’s clarinet section 🎶
• A featured harp performance 🎵
• Additional musical appearances by SMART Orchestra musicians and friends 🎻🎹
Alongside the performances, we will host a Silent Auction featuring dozens of unique items, experiences, and local offerings generously donated by community partners and supporters. 🛍️🎁
Whether you attend in person or participate from home, you can still join the excitement.
✅ You do not need to be present to win.
💻 Bidding will be available both online and in person.
Proceeds from this event directly support SMART Orchestra’s mission, including:
• Music licensing and performance materials 🎼
• Venue and rehearsal space rentals 🏛️
