About this Event

Held in the Board Room at Volunteer Victoria, this fun, engaging, and useful session focuses on differing strategies for when you have to tell someone they are not going to get what they want. This can apply to volunteers having to tell clients “no", supervisors having to tell volunteers “no", and just generally in everyday situations when you can’t, or don’t want to say, “yes". Participants will explore boundary setting, three types of “no”, how/when to use them, and what to do after the “no”.

Participants will:

• Learn different ways to say “no”

• Define types of “no”

• Explore Cultural aspects of “no”

• Develop boundary setting tools/skills
