EDIT: We are deeply sorry to announce that our course instructor took a very bad fall a few weeks ago and will have to undergo surgery and extensive healing and recuperation. Please plan ahead for next year as we did fill up this class and we really want you to be there!Hands on two full day sheep hide tanning workshop - attendees receive a hand tanned hide to take home ($150-500 value) with Bethany Cantwell (Aurora Blue Farm Ohio).
This workshop will be a full two day workshop on Saturday and Sunday October 23 and 24, 2021 from 10AM-4PM.
Lunch will be provided and light refreshments throughout the day.
Workshop will be hosted by 6 Kings Farm (Gumboro, DE) and led by Bethany Cantwell (Aurora Blue Farm Ohio)

The cost for both full days is $500. Participants will receive a hide stretching frame (if wanted and able to transport), a hand tanned sheepskin, access to Bethany’s tanning e-course indefinitely, a sheepskin tanning guide, and the hands on knowledge of brain hide tanning sheepskins. Sheepskins are often a waste product of the sheep industry. However wool is a highly valuable ecological and renewable material. Some benefits of wool include lowering heart rate, hypoallergenic properties, mold and mildew resistant, temperature regulation, and non toxicity. Sheepskins make excellent rugs, blankets, furniture coverings, bed coverings, photo props, wearable fashion, etc.
Eventbrite price is for 1 attendee and includes lunch, sheepskin, and all materials.
Auditors are $150 each which includes hide tanning booklet and membership to the Aurora Blue Farm School.
If bringing your own sheepskin please make a note and we will refund you the difference.
Primitive camping is available on site for those traveling!
