Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for an art class that supports you in practicing gratitude in your life.Together we will discuss the importance of practicing gratitude in our daily lives. Join us for a guided discussion to explore several ways we can increase our daily practices of gratitude. We will also guide you through an art project designed to support and envigorate your daily practices of gratitude in order to bring more joy into your life. We've been inspired by our research and reading of the work of Brene' Brown.
Quote from Brene' Brown - " The relationship between joy and gratitude was one of the important things I found in my research. I wasn’t expecting it. In my 12 years of research on 11,000 pieces of data, I did not interview one person who had described themselves as joyful, who also did not actively practice gratitude. For me it was very counterintuitive because I went into the research thinking that the relationship between joy and gratitude was: if you are joyful, you should be grateful. But it wasn’t that way at all. Instead, practicing gratitude invites joy into our lives."
Join us to discuss this research, think about how to incorporate practices of gratitude into our life in order to invite more joy into our lives.
In this workshop you will explore gratitude practices while creating a unique piece of artwork to enhance your practices. We agree with Brene' in her book, The Atlas of the Heart , when she says: We are born makers. We move what we’re learning from our heads to our hearts through our hands.
