Introducing Binh Minh Ha is an architectural designer, makeup artist, researcher, and editor based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Through these diverse practices, she is interested in the nuanced interactions between people and their surroundings and the activation of private and public space.

She was part of the artistic collective behind, The Chairs in the Room, 2022 as part of Late Night Art, Heart of the City, and at Studio One Toi Tū which saw the collective design, and build 25 ‘almost’ chairs to host conversations in public space. She is also the founding editor of Bypass Journal, an independent architectural publication which pursues community-led research and offers alternative modes of thought about the practice, discipline, and agency of architecture. She is a Designer at Knight Associates. Binh migrated from Vietnam in 2007, and her family put down roots in Pakuranga, where her family home is today. Her love of the East Auckland food scene is an ongoing inspiration for her creative work.
