As yoga teachers, through assistance we give students the opportunity to go deeper into understanding the asana in a way that would otherwise not be possible or accessible. - CONTENT OF THE PROGRAM –
• Introduction on why we assist in yoga practice
• Discussion on ethics and boundaries in hands-on assisting
• Overview of principles to hands-on assisting
• Discussion on adapting assists for different body types, and levels of experience
• Reflection and sharing on the experience of giving and receiving hands-on assists
• Review of basic alignment principles in yoga poses
• Hands-on practice of assisting in all asana families
• Understanding how to provide support and guidance when working with injuries
• Assisting with props
• Integration of hands-on assisting techniques into a whole yoga class
• Partner exercises to develop sensitivity and communication skills
- FOR WHOM IS THIS TRAINING? –
This Hands-On Assisting training program is designed for yoga practitioners and teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of alignment, communication, and connection in yoga practice, this immersive two-weekend training offers a comprehensive exploration of hands-on assisting techniques.
- WHAT YOU WILL LEARN –
Through a blend of theory and practical application, we'll explore the role of hands-on assisting in enhancing the yoga experience.
- KEY TAKE AWAY –
After this course you will know how and when to assist people during their yoga practice, the different ways of assisting that are beneficial, the ethics of assisting people and how to ground yourself before giving assistance to others.
- ABOUT THE TEACHERS –
This program will be taught by Beatrice Savaris and Moena de Jong.
Moena de Jong and Beatrice Savaris are the lead trainers of the Tula Yoga Academy. They have been offering in-depth trainings and teachers training at Tula for more the five years.

- CONTINUING EDUCATION -
Registered hours for this training: 30hrs.
This training is one of the modules of Tula's 300hrs Yoga Alliance advanced yoga teacher training.
If you are a 200hrs registered yoga teacher and want to become a 500hrs registered teacher, then this training is for you. When you completed sufficient modules, you can apply for the additional RYT-300 Yoga Alliance registration.
