A WCS Craft Series Intensive
Your voice is an instrument. Most people never learn to play it.
Join Milwaukee theatre titan 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬 for two Tuesday evenings, September 15 & 22, and rebuild your voice from the ground up: breath, phonetics, rhetoric, resonance, the whole architecture beneath every word you speak.
Led by Mark Corkins, a distinguished Milwaukee theatre artist and veteran performer, this intensive offers practical, rigorous training grounded in decades of professional experience. Students will develop breath control, vocal support, phonetics, articulation, projection, resonance, physical presence, and memorization techniques while building greater command, clarity, confidence, and freedom in their voice.
The work is designed for far more than actors. Public speakers, educators, singers, theatre lovers, performers, professionals, and anyone simply curious about the possibilities of the human voice are welcome. Whether you are preparing for the stage, speaking to a room, searching for greater vocal confidence, or a singer looking to discover new techniques and approaches to voice, the training offers tools that can immediately expand your practice.
All are welcome. No experience required, just a willingness to breathe differently than you ever have before.
Mark brings a wealth of knowledge from a career spent onstage and in the rehearsal room, giving participants the opportunity to learn directly from a veteran artist whose understanding of voice has been shaped through years of professional practice. Expect focused exploration, practical technique, and discoveries that can change the way you use your voice, listen, speak, perform, and communicate.
This is a collegiate level craft class, the kind of training actors spend years chasing, distilled into two focused sessions. Whether you're stepping onstage, into a courtroom, a classroom, a pulpit, or a boardroom, your voice is the tool you reach for every single day. Here's your chance to finally sharpen it.
Two Tuesdays. Ninety minutes each. One transformed instrument.
