Come and enjoy appraisals and expert advice on items such as jewelry, gems, coins, time pieces, porcelain, artwork, glass, historic memorabilia, and any other heirloom you choose to bring. The Appraisal Roadshow delivers a treasure hunt experience that is fun, educational, and rewarding. Our live audience brings their personal valuables to the event where our appraisal experts educate the audience with interesting facts and information on what it is, what it’s worth, and what you can do with your treasure.
On October 5, the doors open at 10:00 AM so you can bring your heirloom for the appraisers to get an early look. The show begins at 11:00 AM. Tickets are $40. Each ticket enables you to submit one heirloom for appraisal at the show. Space is limited. This is a fund raiser for the Ball-Sellers House, a free museum owned by the Arlington Historical Society.
TWO STEPS TO ATTEND
1.) Purchase ticket(s) here: https://arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org/events/appraisal-roadshow/ Each ticket is $40 and enables you to submit one heirloom for appraisal.
2.) Then click on this Heirloom form here: https://arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org/2024/09/heirloom-appraisal-form/ to provide photos and information about your heirloom so we can give the appraisers a chance to do any necessary research. Tell us where you got it, what it is, and how old it might be and why.
The Arlington Historical Society (AHS) hosts this Appraisal Roadshow to raise money to continue to preserve one of Arlington’s heirlooms: The Ball-Sellers House. This is the oldest structure in the county, a farmhouse built c. 1750. We’ll offer free tours of the Ball-Sellers House after the show. (The House is just around the corner.)
The appraisers are from Paradigm Experts and Four Sales. They provide appraisals during the show free of charge to AHS so we can raise money to preserve the house and continue to keep it open as a free museum.
