Are you ready to enjoy the great outdoors, bond with a shelter dog, and make a difference in the community? Join us for our Hike With a Hound program!
This unique opportunity lets you spend time with one of our adoptable dogs, giving them the chance to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and socialization. When you arrive, we’ll match you with a dog whose energy and personality fit your hiking style, and adoption fees will be waived if you find your perfect match.
We’ll provide everything you need to make your hike a success—a starter bag with essentials, along with snacks and refreshments to keep you fueled. Not only is this a great way to explore nature, but it also helps our dogs experience the joy of companionship outside the shelter.

Details:
Beginner/Intermediate Hike
Trail: 1.7-mile loop
To help cover operational costs, we now ask for a $20 donation per hike.
Registration for each hike will close one week in advance. If a hike is full or registration has closed, but you're still interested in joining, please email [email protected], and we’ll do our best to accommodate you if space allows.
